USO Bowling Green Canteen

Step back in time as the L&N Depot transforms into a 1940s nightclub for the USO Bowling Green Canteen on August 29, 30, and 31! The RailPark’s annual fundraiser theme this year is a WWII nostalgic nod to the upcoming “Railroads Go to War” exhibit and another part of the Save the Depot yearlong campaign.
This throwback event runs 6-9pm each night and brings to life the USO shows hosted by Bob Hope and the best entertainers of the era to show support for Allied soldiers during wartime. A tribute to veterans, this show will be unlike anything BG has seen in over 70 years. The evening will include live entertainment, dinner, drinks and an auction with hot ticket items inspired from the very best of the WWII Hollywood era.
Live performances of Armed Forces Radio hits from legendary Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters, and Frank Sinatra will shine from the USO stage. Entertainment includes acts performed by Zac Bush, Marshall Scott, Dr. Wayne and Beth Pope, Abby Murphy, Laura Brown and Emily Summer.
Tickets are $75 and include a buffet dinner from Cambridge Market, live 1940s era entertainment, and access to an amazing auction. You won’t want to miss this special night of authentic nostalgia to #SavetheDepot. Doors open at 6pm and the USO floorshow acts start by 6:45pm.

This event is also being held the evenings of August 30 and 31 and featuring some guests from for National Corvette Museum’s 25th Anniversary Celebration participants, and sponsors would reach triple the audience as most of these guests are return visitors to BG for annual Corvette events.
