LRS Live! The Local Honey’s & Barren River Ramblers

Lost River Sessions LIVE! brings the charismatic storytelling nature of folk, bluegrass and Americana music to the stage of the iconic Capitol Arts Center in downtown Bowling Green. All shows are broadcast live on WKU Public Radio and streaming on wkyufm.org.
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, LRS Live! welcomes two Kentucky-based old-time music groups – The Local Honeys and the Barren River Ramblers. The Local Honeys have found balance both in the preservation of traditional music as well as the formation of new songs, and the all-female group is tearing down any misconceptions that the music genres of Old-Time and Bluegrass are an extended boys club.
The show will open with Bowling Green’s own Barren River Ramblers, playing old-time fiddle tunes and traditional songs of southern Kentucky and beyond.
