Concerts in the Parks

This annual event is always something to look forward to by thousands; just this past summer, there were 25,000 plus in attendance. The event is put on and organized by the Downtown Redevelopment Authority with the aid of generous sponsors such as BB&T, Party 1 Superstore and many, many more. Live music is performed in Fountain Square Park every Wednesday in the month of June at noon and for the months of July and August, performances are put on in both Fountain Square and Circus Square Parks every Friday evening. Everyone and anyone is welcome, bring your chair or blanket, sit back and enjoy the live entertainment. Food vendors are on site with a beer garden at Circus Square Park.

Duncan Hines Festival

The hometown of foodie and cake-mix king Duncan Hines celebrates his legacy with an art contest at the Kentucky Museum, a live street dance at Circus Square Park downtown, a create-your-own recipe contest, duck derby, giveaways and more! Presented by and benefiting the Bowling Green Junior Woman’s Club, all proceeds raised from the Duck Derby go back into the community through various organizations.
