Desmond Jones, a five-piece rock/funk/jazz fusion band from Grand Rapids, MI is on tour in support of their self-titled debut studio album! “Desmond Jones” has been called by NPR a showcase of “eclectic musical diversity”.

With original music written to complement the group’s sound as a whole, the music is centered around melodic guitar riffs, funky bass lines, groovy drum beats, and smooth saxophone. The group takes influence from Frank Zappa, The Grateful Dead, Phish, Charles Mingus, The Band, and Led Zeppelin to name a few. Desmond Jones has recently shared the stage with bands like Dopapod, The Werks, EOTO, Here Come the Mummies, Tauk, Mungion, Marco Benevento, Aqueous, and Badfish- Sublime Tribute.
Desmond Jones prides itself on high-energy performances that present the audience with a positive and fun experience. Every set and song is unique and comes from a catalog of over 55 original tunes.

Common Center:
Common Center is a 7-piece ensemble of 12-string guitar, violin, saxophone, keyboards, bass, and drums. Their compositions intermingle soft, mellifluous tones with punchy, driving rhythms—a balance between meditativeness and ferocity. The goal is transcendence.
The band writes and records in Covington, Kentucky (across the river from Cincinnati). Their influences range from progressive rock and folk roots to classical music, gypsy grooves, and avant-garde groups from around the world. The lyrics explore themes of consciousness, friendship, and inter-dimensional travel. Poetry intertwines with operatic swells and occasional, dream-like overtones. Multi-part vocal and instrumental harmonies have the power to both lull and invigorate listeners.
Currently, they are working on a second release for early 2018. They are bonded by their collective ambition to create original music and share it with audiences everywhere.
